Dr. Ashley Drown

Dr. Ashley Drown graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in May 2015. She was in the top 10% of her class which earned her membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. After completing dental school, Dr. Drown was accepted into a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program with the United States Air Force at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. Dr. Drown continued to serve another three years as a general dentist at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia before joining our practice.
Dr. Drown has received extensive training in all dental specialties. Her dental experience with the military trained her to be able to treat complex patients in remote areas where she may have been the only dentist available. The Air Force gave her opportunities to work with state-of-the-art technology, materials, and supplies. She has ample experience with routine restorative treatment, prosthodontics (crown/bridge, implant), endodontics, simple and complex extractions including third molars, surgical and non-surgical periodontal therapy, preventive dentistry, TMJ therapy, sleep apnea appliance therapy, and CAD/CAM digital technology. Dr. Drown is a member of the American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry. She stays up-to-date with current dental information and continuing education.
Dr. Drown knew she wanted to be a dentist since she was in middle school. She grew up in a military family, so she moved around a lot, but spent most of her life in Georgia. She attended the University of Georgia (UGA), where she earned a degree in Nutrition Science and, also, where she met her husband, Travis Drown. Travis is a native of Ellicott City and works as a financial advisor in the area, which is what brought them back to Maryland after her time in the military. Dr. Drown and her husband have two sons, Eli and Everett, and a dog, Kirby. They are both avid UGA football fans and try to attend as many games as possible in the fall.
